Safety, Satisfaction and Sustainability: Optimising Maintenance Facility Efficiency

The Federal Governments 2016 -2017 budget is committed to investing more than $3.4 billion into urban rail projects across the country. The increase in infrastructure plans for transport mean that depots and workshops need to be upgraded to ensure that they’re equipped to meet changing maintenance requirements for modern fleets, while still maintaining the highest standards of efficiency and safety.

Ahead of Depot Upgrades and Workshop Modernisation 2017 we chat with Remy Saintil, Director of Facilities at the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, for an international perspective on depot modernisation.

Remy discusses MARTA’s newly integrated innovations that have increased capacity, reduced incidents and improved customer satisfaction.
